#60, or I’m Going Yellow for LIVESTRONG Day (October 2nd)

For some reason this saved as a Draft and didn’t Publish last night so here is yesterday’s blog!

This October 2nd marks the 5 year anniversary of the day Lance Armstrong was told he has cancer. This October 2nd we gather together as a community of supporters and survivors to wear yellow. We wear yellow to get the message across to those suffering that they are not alone. We wear yellow to stand out – to call attention to a cause.

In 2003 the LIVESTRONG Foundation was formed and in 2004 the famous yellow wristbands first debuted.

In 2010 cancer became the leading cause of death in the world.

Do something great. Plan to wear yellow on Sunday. In the mean time, pledge to go yellow with Team LIVESTRONG and join the masses as we do what we can to help inspire change.

Happiness is like a sunbeam, which the least shadow intercepts, while adversity is often as the rain of spring.” Chinese Proverb

Come little sunbeams, shine for us on Sunday in a sea of adversity. Let’s make a difference.
